Our davka web project still needs $1500 to be complete. Here are the details of the project.
You may remember that one of our priorities here at Kompas is to provide training materials for youth leaders in the Slovak language. For several years we have regularly produced materials on cd called “davka” (which means a dosage of medicine). Hundreds of youth leaders have been trained and inspired through theses materials.
We’ve always tried to keep the material in a format that is most usable for Slovak youth leaders and to date that format has been cd. But now that the internet has become accessible and affordable to the average person, we believe the internet is the format for the future. We have hired a local web site developer to produce the web site and we are already well into the process.
From our last web posting about this project (Dec. 2006) we received a $420 gift which enabled us to make our first payment on the project. So, we still need $1500 to complete the project. (our next payment of $600 is due February 7, 2007).
To make it easy for you, we have set up a special account call “Davka web fund” at our parent organization Josiah Venture. If you wish to give toward this special project, all you have to do is make out your check to Josiah Venture and write “Davka web fund #36080″ in the memo. Then you can mail your check to the follow address:
Josiah Venture

Your support will be completely tax deductible and be documented for you by Josiah Venture in a year end giving tax record.
We would also love to know about your involvement with this project, so if you are willing to write us a quick e-mail (zshepperson@josiahventure.com) letting us know your intentions, that would be super. Thank you for your consideration of this need and your willingness to support what God is doing for the next generation here in Slovakia.
